Tale of Ekati’s Budro Talking tallies second stakes win

Budro Talking scored a come-from-behind win in the Louisiana Cup Turf Classic Saturday night at Louisiana Downs for his second career stakes win.

The 5-year-old son of Tale of Ekati, owned by Jack Randall, has racked up $221,184 while finishing first or second in nearly half of his 24 lifetime starts.

Budro Talking came from near the back of the 12-horse field to win the 1 1/16-mile race by 1 1/4-lengths.

The winner was bred by J. Adcock and Hume Wornall and is out of American Placed, who won seven starts in her career, earning $180,911.
