Klimt, who recently had his initial winner from his first crop of runners, was represented by a $225,000 colt at the OBS June 2-year-old sale on Thursday afternoon.
Cataloged as hip No. 596 and consigned by Scanlon Training and Sales, agent, the colt went to James Divito, agent.
The bay youngster was bred in Kentucky by Pippa’s Hurricane and is out of the Scat Daddy mare Neverthesame, who is also the dam of stakes winner Mo D’Amour and Grade 2-placed Colonial Creed.
Klimt has the distinction of having more 2-year-olds sell at auction this year to date (52) than any other First-Crop sire. He has four lots remaining in tomorrow closing session at OBS. His first winner, Loveherheart, won a June 4 Santa Anita maiden special weight by 5 1/2-lengths.
