Grade 1 winner and First-Crop sire Klimt’s first offerings at the April 20-23 OBS Spring 2-year-old sale included a $250,000 filly sold during the opening session.

Consigned by Randy Bradshaw, agent, hip No. 203 went to Marc Tacher. The filly, who was bred by TK Stables LLC, had turned in an excellent Under Tack show furlong of 10 seconds flat.

The bay filly is out of the Candy Ride (ARG) mare Smooth Caramel, whose dam Lunarlady was a stakes winner at two. Lunarlady’s siblings include Astrology, winner of the Iroquois S. (G3) and third in the Preakness S. (G1), and Lunarpal, who won two graded stakes at two.

Klimt is very-well represented in this week’s sale, with 21 lots to go through the ring over the next three days.
