Dialed In’s newest stakes winner came in front-running style on June 4 at Saratoga when Train the Trainer sped to a 2 ¾-length win in the $200,000 Mike Lee S.
The 3-year-old was making his stakes debut following a five-length maiden-breaking win a month ago at Aqueduct.
Train the Trainer bolted out of the gate to get a two-length lead in the first few jump before Prince Valiant began to pressure him. After a half-mile in :46.30, Train the Trainer began to pull away and had a 1 ½-length margin coming into the stretch. He inched away down the lane to win handily in 1:23.92 for the seven furlongs on a fast track.
“I had a beautiful trip,” said winning rider Irad Ortiz Jr. “Last time at Aqueduct he broke so quick and we expected to be on the lead today going seven-eighths. He’s got speed, [we] let him be him and he did the rest. He’s a nice horse.”
Now sporting a mark of 2-1-0 in three starts, Train the Trainer has earned $167,000 for owners Alipony Racing and Saints or Sinners. The winner was bred by Hibiscus Stables.
Dialed In is the sire of more than 30 stakes winners lifetime. In 2025, he has accounted for John Nerud S. (G3) winner Whatchatalkinabout and South American Grade 1 winner Eagle In Love.
