Flameaway has consistently produced strong results at the 2023 OBS Spring 2-year-olds in Training sale, the latest coming Thursday when a filly by the Darby Dan sire sold for $185,000.

The winning bidder for hip No. 703 was Cherie DeVaux, agent. The bay filly was consigned by Eddie Woods, agent.

Bill Harrigan’s Miacomet Bloodstock purchased the filly for $35,000 at Keeneland last September.

A Kentucky-bred, the filly is out of Mizzen Donald, who is a half-sister to multiple Grade 2 winner and track record-setter Bright Thought. This is the immediate family of Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) winner Raven’s Pass, Grade 1 winner No Matter What, and champion Rainbow View.

With 19 2-year-olds sold to date, Flameaway’s first crop of juveniles are selling at an average of more than 10 times his stud fee.
