Dialed In’s Erase razor-sharp in debut stakes victory

Erase carried his speed to a two-length victory in Saturday’s $100,000 Leonatus S. at Turfway Park, the first stakes start for the 3-year-old Dialed In colt.

Among the leading sires of both his generation and of 3-year-olds in 2021, Erase is Dialed In’s 44th lifetime black type horse.

Erase, who broke his maiden by a half-dozen lengths in late October, hustled to the lead soon after the break in Saturday’s one-mile contest, avoiding a traffic jam just behind him. He set a comfortable pace, getting the half-mile in :48.76. Twenty FourMamba made a mild challenge coming into the stretch, but Erase easily shook him off to get the mile on the synthetic surface in 1:39.70.

Erase is owned by Madaket Stables LLC and Robert LaPenta, the latter also his breeder. Erase has earned $89,180 and is 2-1-0 in four starts. He is the second foal out of Gabeira, sister to Grade 1 winner Emcee.
