Copper Tax makes short work of maiden foes

Copper Bullet got his second winner from his first crop on June 28 when Copper Tax drew off to a 4 ½-length maiden victory at Delaware Park.

Copper Tax was in an early three-way battle for the lead before taking command with a quarter-mile to run. Silverbullettwenty loomed a threat in upper stretch, but Copper Tax shook him off with relative ease to win the five-furlong contest going away.

The bay colt is owned by Rose Petal Stable LLC and was bred in Kentucky by Lance Sullenberger. Copper Tax is the second foal out of the stakes-placed Wilhelmina.

Copper Bullet, a son of leading sire More Than Ready, stands for $7,500 stands and nurses.
