Dialed In colt remains undefeated after taking Bashford Manor S.

Blessed Flyer did indeed come flying in the final furlong of Sunday’s $225,000 Bashford Manor S. at Churchill Downs, rallying furiously to win the six-furlong race for 2-year-olds by a head over He Is No Lie.

The dark bay son of Dialed In is 2-for-2 lifetime, winning both of his races by a head with a late-closing move. Blessed Flyer is the fourth black type winner in 2026 for his sire.

With He Is No Lie and Hey Tuff Guy engaged in a lively early speed duel, Blessed Flyer sat patiently in fifth as the top duo pulled some eight lengths clear of the field with three furlongs to run. At the top of the stretch Blessed Flyer moved into third with six lengths to make up. With a relentless stretch drive, he surged ahead in the final few strides to finish in 1:09.98 on a fast main track.

“Our horse traveled so smoothly today,” winning jockey Brian Hernandez, Jr. said. “Around the far turn, we were still pretty far back, but I could tell he was getting ready to make a big run at them. I rode him patiently and knew he would come with his run.”

The winner is owned by Mark Farrar and Patricia’s Hope and was bred in Kentucky by C W Swann & Wetherbee Holdings. Blessed Flyer has earned $188,255 in his two wins.
