Two Seven O battled his way to a neck victory over Stradale in the $150,000 Bachelor S. May 1 at Oaklawn Park to give the 3-year-old son of Dialed In his fourth consecutive win.
The bay sophomore is undefeated since being acquired by his current connections last November. He has steadily climbed the class ladder since and is now Dialed In’s 36th lifetime stakes winner.
After an even start, Two Seven O settled in the three-path while a couple of lengths from the front for the backstretch run. Around the turn and still well off the rail, Two Seven O steadily advanced and took the lead with a quarter-mile to go. Turning for home, Stradale ranged up on the outside of Two Seven O, and those two battled to the wire, with Two Seven O winning by a neck in 1:09.08 and earning a career-best Beyer Speed Figure of 94.
The winner, who is now 4-1-0 in six starts and has earned $22,400, is owned by Aaron & Victoria Haberman, and Matthew Scull and was bred in Kentucky by John D. Stuart & Peter C. Bance.
