Dialed In’s Ruffenuff chalks up fifth stakes victory

Ruffenuff, a model of consistency throughout her career, tallied career stakes win number five on May 20 with a win in the Jet Set S. at the newly-opened Century Mile Racetrack in Edmonton, Alberta.

She is the second stakes winner of the weekend for Dialed In, who accounted for the $100,000 Skipat S. at Pimlico with Chalon on May 17.

Despite not facing stakes competition for nearly two years, Ruffenuff was in fine form on Monday, battling for the lead most of the way before digging in late to secure a one-length win in a very quick 1:08.49 for the six furlongs.

Owned by Curtis Landry, 5-year-old Ruffenuff is 8-3-1 in 16 starts. She was bred in Kentucky by Nicholas Lotz and is out of Augusta Queen, also the dam of recent Gold Fever S. winner Wendell Fong.
