Tapiture is now tied atop the First-Crop Sires list with 12 individual winners following a maiden special weight score by Heckler's Veto on Sept. 7.

Tapiture is tied with American Pharoah, who has 40 more reported foals. Tapiture also leads all freshman sires with four repeat winners.

Heckler's Veto got his win going 4 1/2-furlongs at Charles Town Races, winning by 1 1/4-lengths for owner/breeder Sterbenz Racing LLC. His dam Introducing is a half-sister to Charles Whittingham H. (G1) winner Midships.
