Tapiture filly keeps record perfect with allowance win

Gone Glimmering overcame a rough trip in a six-furlong allowance Sept. 6 at Indiana Downs to win her second straight start and become the fourth repeat winner for First-Crop sire Tapiture.

With 11 individual winners to date, Tapiture trails only American Pharoah on the Freshman Sires list and leads the way by repeat winners. He also got his second stakes horse on Sept. 1 when Stylin N Profilin placed in the Northern Lights Debutante.

Gone Glimmering caused some of her own trouble when she had to check hard in traffic with a half-mile to run, but she quickly regathered herself and rolled home by 2 1/2-lengths as a much the best winner.

Owned by Sandra New and Aaron Haberman, Gone Glimmering was bred by Amy Boulton. Out of Venus Rosewater, Gone Glimmering is a half-sister to the graded stakes-placed colt Sheer Flattery.
