PERFECT SOUL DAY ONE STANDOUT!

A 1/2 brother to GII winner Tale of Ekati by Perfect Soul brought $775,000 at the first session of the Keeneland September sale. The strapping colt was consigned by Denali Stud and was purchased by agent Steven Silver. Tale of Ekati has garnered much attention lately for his owner and breeder Charles Fipke - also the owner of Perfect Soul and breeder of the $775,000 colt. Current plans pont him towards the Breeder's Cup in early November. With his dam back in foal on an early cover to Perfect Soul, Silence Beauty (JPN), is one of many outstanding mares already comitted to Perfect Soul's 2008 book.

Summer Yearling Debut

The Fasig Tipton July Select sale marks the first opportunity that buyers will have to see Perfect Soul's first crop of yearlings. Two outstanding colts are consigned to the sale. The first, Hip 192, is out of the stakes producing mare Victorious Vice. When this colt was born, his owner, Dr. A.C. Asbury wrote "In my 50 years as an equine veterinarian, I consider this colt to be one of the finest individuals that I have seen." The other colt is Hip 262 out of the stakes producing mare Cherie. PERFECT SALES FOR PERFECT SOUL

The Keeneland November Sale proved to be an overwhelming success for Perfect Soul. His first two colts through the ring brought $370,000 and $280,000. His weanling average for the 2 week sale was $130,000 - which placed him amoung the leading freshman weanling sires. Darby Dan Bloodstock, acting on behalf of Mr. Fipke, was happy to purchase 2 weanlings by Perfect Soul offered by outside breeders.

THE MAKING OF A PERFECT BOOK

Charles Fipke, the owner of Perfect Soul believes very strongly in Perfect Soul's ability to become an influential sire. These convictions led him to purchase Title Seeker for $1.7 Million on the first day of the Keeneland November sale. The 3 year old daughter out of Personal Ensign will be joined by the dams of Borrego, Peace Rules, Singletary and Shakespeare in Perfect Soul's 2007 book. Overall, Mr. Fipke will commit 50 of his personal mares to Perfect Soul this year.

FIRST FOAL FOR PERFECT SOUL A COLT
January 20, 2006

Grade I winner and Canadian champion Perfect Soul. Perfect Soul's first foal is a Pennsylvania-bred colt born Jan. 17th. Bred by Sez Who Thoroughbreds and Aron Yagoda, the colt is the second foal from the winning Unbridled's Song mare Unbridled's Amour, whose dam is stakes winner Isn't She Lovely. Perfect Soul's second foal was born January 19th at Rosemount Farm in Kentucky. The filly is the first foal out of the winning mare Gender Dance.
