All eyes were on a colt by Perfect Soul out of Copper Belle as it sold for $230,000 at the OBS 2 yr old sale. Consigned by Kip Elser's Kirkwood Stables for Bob Baker and partners, the colt breezed 1/8 mile in :10. The colt was purchased by Jess Jackson's Stonestreet Stables.

Taqarub garnered yet another victory by coasting to an easy win the the Jimmy Winkfield Stakes. This makes the third victory for the 3 yr old son of Aldebaran in as many starts. Bred, born, raised and sold at Darby Dan, he is truly a farm graduate. He was a $300,000 purchase for Shadwell from Darby Dan's Saratoga Select consignment in 2007.

Darby Dan Sales Grad Taqarub broke his maiden as first asking today. The 2 yr old son of Aldebaran was sold to Shadwell for $300,000 last summer at the Saratoga Select sale. Bred and raised at Darby Dan, Taqarub is the first foal out of Honor Bestowed, by Honor Grades, and is a 1/2 sister to Champion Turf Mare Soaring Softly and GI winner Plenty of Grace.

Sir Gerry, consigned by Darby Dan Farm as a yearling, stormed to victory on Wednesday, August 22 at York, capturing the Ireland Gimcrack S. (Eng-G2) by three-quarters of a length. The 2-year-old colt by Carson City is out of Incredulous (FR), an Indian Ridge (IRE) mare owned by Dr. Catherine Wills, and was bred and raised at Darby Dan Farm in Kentucky.

Robe Decollete (Cozzene x Color of Gold, by Seeking the Gold), winner of the Japanese Oaks in stakes record time and the first American bred filly to do so, was sold by Darby Dan Sales for her breeders Mr. & Mrs. Larry Williams for $180,000 at the 2005 Keeneland September Yearling Sale.
