Multiple Grade 1-winning millionaire Winter Memories, winner of the July 28 Diana S. (G1) at Saratoga, in her final career start, will be bred to Darley Stud's top stallion Street Cry (IRE) for her first mating in 2013.
Street Cry is the sire of Horse of the Year Zenyatta and 3-year-old champion Street Sense among his 13 Grade 1 winners.
Winter Memories, a Phillips Racing Partnership homebred by El Prado out of Memories of Silver, by Silver Hawk, was regarded as one of the top turf fillies of her generation, and she was a significant graded stakes winner at two, three and four for trainer James Toner.
In August, Winter Memories joined her dam, multiple Grade 1 winner Memories of Silver, in the broodmare band at Darby Dan. She retired with seven graded stakes victories and earnings of $1,268,100.
