Shackleford's leading 2-year-old Wellabled won his second straight stakes with a dominating performance in the $100,000 Fitz Dixon, Jr. Memorial S. Thursday evening at Presque Isle Downs.

Winner of the Arlington-Washington Futurity (G3), in his previous start, the Larry Rivelli trainee didn't disappoint as the odd-on favorite in Thursday's 6 1/2-furlong contest. Basically controlling things the entire trip, Wellabled came into the stretch a two-length leader and never gave up that advantage all the way to the wire (VIDEO).

Owned by Carolyn Wilson, Wellabled upped his record to 3-1-0 in four starts, with earnings of $156,200. His only loss came by a head on the grass in Saratoga's $100,000 Skidmore S.
