Tango Run, a 2-year-old daughter of Run Away and Hide, notched her first stakes win with a 2 ¾-length score in Thistledown’s $75,000 Miss Ohio S. on July 22.

The winner, who broke her maiden by 6 ½-lengths in her June 26 debut, turned in another dominant performance in the Miss Ohio. Despite being cut off shortly after the break, Tango Run made her way to the rail and slipped inside pacesetter Summit Point at the top of the stretch, surged to the front and won going away on a muddy racetrack (VIDEO).

Tango Run is Run Away and Hide’s third 2-year-old stakes winner of 2017. He is the only North American sire with more than one juvenile stakes winner this year.

Tango Run is owned by Michael Foster and bred by Dr. Harold Fishman. The bay filly is out of Thedoctorscat, who has produced five winners and is a half-sister to four-time stakes winner Fiddlers Afleet.
