Budro Talking went from maiden winner to stakes winner on Saturday with an eye-catching performance in the $60,000 Sunday Silence S. The 2-year-old son of Tale of Ekati is the third stakes winner and ninth stakes horse this year for his sire.

Trained by Danny Pish for Jerry Durant, Budro Talking was near the back of the eight-horse field early on, but came with a big move on the final turn, ultimately catching pacesetter Smokin' Truth in mid-stretch to pull away to a 1 3/4-length win in 1:37.82 for the mile on the firm turf (VIDEO).

Budro Talking was bred by Adcock and Wornall and is the first foal out of seven-time winner American Placed.
