Second-crop sire Magna Graduate had an impressive representative from both his first and second crops on Friday night at Indiana Downs, as 2-year-old colt Gone Mountain won a Maiden Special Weight heat in the fourth race before 3-year-old filly Three D successfully followed up with a big win in a Maiden Special Weight event in race seven.

Gone Mountain stretched out to a mile in his second start and showed that he could have a bright future ahead, proving best over a loaded field of nine for trainer Michael Tomlinson and owner Greg McDonald. Woodthrush LLC bred the bay colt in Kentucky.

Three D was making her first start of the year, and she too showed that there could be some much bigger races in her future. The sophomore filly drew off to an authoritative 6 ½-length victory for trainer Eric Reed and owner Kay Reed, who bred the dark bay filly in Kentucky along with Daniel Pitzo.
