The first-ever 2-year-old offered at auction by multiple Grade 1 winner Tale of Ekati brought $115,000 at the Ocala Breeders' Sales Co. selected sale of 2-year-olds in training on March 11.

Chris Englehart, Agent,  was the high bidder for hip No. 171, a chestnut filly consigned by Sequel Bloodstock, Inc. (Becky Thomas), Agent. The filly, who breezed an eighth in :10 1/5 on Saturday at the under tack show, is out of the unraced Golden Missile mare Golden Miss. She is out of the multiple stakes winner Notable Sword and is a half-sister to OBS Championship S. winner Tingwithasting.

Tale of Ekati, winner of both the Wood Memorial (G1) and Cigar Mile (G1) at age three, stands this year at Darby Dan Farm for a fee of $15,000 LFS&N.
