A filly from the first crop of multiple graded stakes winner Sky Kingdom brought a winning bid of $185,000 during the Sept. 19 session of the Keeneland September Yearling sale.

The price was the highest paid for a filly from a first-crop sire during Wednesday's session.

Consigned by Baccari Bloodstock, agent, hip No. 2840 went to RAP Racing.

The Kentucky-bred bay filly is out of Tidal Pool, a stakes winner who placed in the Kentucky Oaks (G1) and the multiple graded stakes-placed filly Torrent. She is from the same family as Broodmare of the Year Sweet Life, the dam of Grade 1 winners Sweet Catomine and Life is Sweet.

Sky Kingdom, a track record setter at 1 1/16-miles and a son of leading sire Empire Maker, won graded stakes up to 1 1/2-miles and also placed in the Grade 1 Hollywood Gold Cup. He is standing the 2019 season at Darby Dan Farm for $5,000 stands and nurses.
