Broodmare of the Year Oatsee, dam of future Darby Dan stallion Shackleford, just produced her fifth stakes winner as well as her fourth Graded winner.

On October 27, Afleeting Lady dominated Belmont's Turnback the Alarm H. (G3) to become her dam's fourth Graded stakes winner. This was the second consecutive stakes win for Afleeting Lady, and boosted her record to 19-6-4-2 and $374,822.

Just a week earlier, 3-year-old Stephanoatsee won the $100,000 Barbaro Stakes at Delaware, to become the fifth overall stakes winner for his blue hen dam. His record stands at 7-3-2-0 and $198,000.

Oatsee has produced her five stakes winners by five different sires: multiple Grade 1 winner Shackleford ($2,824,047), by Forestry; Grade 1 winner Lady Joanne ($987,084), by Orientate; multiple Graded winner Baghdaria ($725,433), by Royal Academy; Graded winner Afleeting Lady, by Afleet Alex; and multiple stakes performer Stephanoatsee by A.P. Indy.

Shackleford remains on target for Saturday's Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile (G1). He will retire to Darby Dan in 2013 at the conclusion of his race career.
