Classic winner and triple-millionaire Shackleford has a total of 53 juveniles cataloged for the Sept. 14-26 Keeneland September Yearling sale, one of the top-represented sires whose first crop are yearlings of 2015.

Some highlights of Shackleford’s Keeneland offerings include hip No. 159, a filly out of the stakes-placed Champagne Royale, making the juvenile a half-sister to Arkansas Derby (G1) winner Danza and Gold Cup (G1) winner Majestic Harbor; hip No. 450, a filly whose second dam is the incomparable Maplejinsky, dam of champion Sky Beauty; and hip No. 962, a colt out of the prolific mare Livermore Leslie, whose foals include three-time Grade 1-winning millionaire Sweet Reason and graded stakes winner Don’t Forget Gil.

Standing at Darby Dan Farm for $20,000 live foal in 2015, Shackleford’s yearlings have been very popular at the summer yearling sales, with colts going for $340,000 and $190,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected sale.

Catalogue pages for all of Shackleford’s Keeneland offerings can be found by going here to the Keeneland website and searching the “sire” column.
