Shacklefords Lady and Noshackleshere both scored maiden special weight wins on Dec. 23, giving Shackleford five first-time winners over the past five days.

The freshman sire now has a total of 19 winners for the year, second-most on the First-Crop Sire list. Following a successful season that saw him breed 138 mares, Shackleford will command a fee of $15,000 live foal for the 2017 season at Darby Dan.

Shacklefords Lady was a clear 5 1/2-length debut winner in her six furlong contest at Penn National. The 2-year-old filly is owned by Richard Dancsok and was bred in Florida by John Rio et al. She picked up $20,520 for the win.

Noshackleshere was even more dominating in his 6 1/2-furlong affair at Turfway Park, winning by 8 1/4-lengths. Bred in Kentucky by Frederick and May Construction, the chestnut colt is out of a half-sister to five-time graded stakes winner Calibrachoa.
