Top-10 Freshman Sire Shackleford got his 15th winner from his first crop on Dec. 18 when Banty's Girl rallied over a sloppy Aqueduct inner dirt track to win the six-furlong maiden special weight affair by 1 1/4-lengths.

In mid-pack early, Banty's Girl began a three-wide move on the turn to engage pacesetter Heavenly Score. Those two tussled through the stretch until Banty's Girl began to edge clear in the final sixteenth.

The winner is owned by her breeder Robert Masiello in partnership with Two-Five Stable. Kentucky-bred Banty's Girl is the first foal out of the stakes-placed mare Media Starlett.
