Shackleford filly easily takes Aqueduct MdSpWt

Decorator Jenn rolled to a front-running 1 1/2-length maiden special weight contest victory April 6 at Aqueduct to become the 18th winner of 2017 for Shackleford, currently the leading Second-Crop Sire this year.

Trained by Linda Rice for Aron Yagoda, Decorator Jenn got some early pressure for Downtown At Noon before drawing clear on the turn and in the stretch, then gearing down late for a comfortable victory over the sloppy racetrack.

The 3-year-old filly was bred by Anlyn Farms and is the second foal out of Gracilia, who is a half-sister to Swale S. (G2) winner Sharp Humor.

Among Shackleford's top runners from his first crop are this year's undefeated Rebel S. (G2) winner Malagacy, as well as stakes-placed fillies Banty's Girl, Tickled Pink and My Ticket
