Alberts Hope, a 2-year-old by Run Away and Hide, stayed close the pace throughout the five-furlong race on the all-weather surface at Hollywood Park on July 14. The first-time starter cleared the field at the 1/16 pole and won by a margin 3/4 of a length.

With jockey Alonso Quinonez aboard, the Mike Puype-trained juvenile took the $68,000 maiden special weight. Out of the Saint Ballado mare Accepting Fate, Alberts Hope is owned by Jaam Racing and was bred by R. Kirk, J. Bates, G. McDonald, M. Riordan, & S. Wisenhunt.
