Port Stanley, a 4-year-old son of Perfect Soul (IRE), made it two wins in a row with a victory over the Woodbine all-weather surface on May 2. The bay colt went off as the 6-5 favorite in the 1 1/16-mile allowance race, and he delivered with a 1 1/4-length score.

Port Stanley had to come from sixth in a seven horse field to get the job done. Regular rider Justin Stein was comfortable with his position down the backstretch, and riding with confidence, he swung his mount seven wide on the turn. He picked off foes one-by-one down the lane, coming home powerfully to get to the wire on top.

The victory was worth $42,298 for owners Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Miller. Port Stanley has now earned $128,582 and has been on the board in seven of 12 lifetime starts. He is the third runner out of his dam Alybeal, who already produced a colt that started 50 times in his career.
