Shackleford's multiple graded stakes winner Promises Fulfilled drew post 2 for Saturday's $2 million Breeders' Cup Sprint (G1) at Churchill Downs.

The 3-year-old colt has been uncatchable in his last three starts, rolling to victory in the H. Allen Jerkens S. (G1), Phoenix S. (G2) and Amsterdam S. (G3). In the Phoenix, his first starts against older horses, he defeated Sprint contenders Whitmore and Limousine Liberal.

Promises Fulfilled won his debut at Churchill some 14 months ago and eventually started in the Kentucky Derby (G1) after winning the Fountain of Youth (G2), but has found his calling at one turn since the Run for the Roses. With six wins in 10 starts, he has banked $920,280 for owner Robert Baron.

Shackleford has been a top-10 Third-Crop Sire all year, with nearly $4 million in progeny earnings. He ranks second by stakes wins with six and third by winners with 78.

The Sprint drew a field of eight that will travel six furlongs. It is race seven at 2:46 p.m. ET.
