A Perfect Soul filly turned heads at the OBS 2-year-old sale on April 20, going for $125,000, the sixth highest price during the third session of the Ocala, Florida sale that runs April 18-21.
Christina Jelm signed the ticket on behalf of Elkstone Group LLC. The chestnut Kentucky-bred filly was consigned by Eiseman Equine, agent. Prior to the sale, she breezed at the under-tack show, going a quarter-mile in a lively :20 4/5 seconds. Watch the breeze
here.
The unnamed filly is out of Hold to Fashion, who is the dam of $3 million earner Peace Rules. That top-class runner won seven graded stakes: a trio of Grade 1's: Haskell Invitational, Toyota Blue Grass, and Suburban H.; as well as three Grade 2's: New Orleans H., Oaklawn H., and Louisiana Derby. He also placed in the Travers (G1) and Kentucky Derby (G1).
