Grade 1-winning millionaire Perfect Soul had two promising winners on Oct. 18th when his 2-year-old filly Groovintothebeat won at first asking at Fort Erie and his 3-year-old Woodman’s Soul streaked to a four-length win in a $78,000 maiden special weight heat at Woodbine.

Groovintothebeat dueled four-wide in her debut before proving best by two lengths in the five-furlong maiden special weight race, stopping the clock in 59.12. As for Woodman’s Soul, the chestnut has improved in every start and broke through with an impressive win in lifetime start No. 3, winning decisively to move his earnings to $45,351.

Groovintothebeat is out of the Mr. Prospector mare Groove, and Woodman’s Soul is out of the Woodman mare Forest Flora. Both are owned and bred by Charles Fipke.
