Grade I Wood Memorial winner and millionaire Nobiz Like Shobiz will enter stud at Darby Dan Farm in 2009. Nobiz Like Shobiz is owned and bred by Elizabeth Valando. His fee will be $7,500.
"We are excited to have Nobiz Like Shobiz join our roster," said Darby Dan Owner John Phillips. "He was a top two-year-old winning the Remsen Stakes (GII) and then went on to have a GI career on both dirt and turf," continued Phillips. "He is attractive to a very broad spectrum of breeders. His size, precociousness and adaptability to all surfaces will make him very popular."
The Kentucky-bred 4-year old son of Albert the Great, out of the Storm Cat mare Nightstorm won last year's GI Wood Memorial Stakes, besting Any Given Saturday and Sightseeing, and retires with seven wins and total career earnings of $1,544,730. 12 of his 13 career starts were in graded stakes company - with the lone exception being his maiden race which he won by over 10 lengths.
Nobiz Like Shobiz also captured last year's National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes (GII), Jamaica Handicap (GIIT), Kent Breeders' Cup (GIIIT), and Holy Bull Stakes (GIII).
