Montu rolled to a 8 1/4-length maiden victory Saturday at Turfway Park to become the 19th winner for leading freshman sire Dialed In.

In addition to leading the First-Crop Sire list by progeny earnings, Dialed In is the only freshman sire in the top 10 whose runners are winning at a rate above 50%.

Montu, owned by his trainer Joe Deegan in partnership with Alfred Paris and Zephyr Racing LLC, led the entire 6 1/2-furlongs to win in hand in 1:18.12. The winner is the second foal out of Casa Pippo, a sister to two-time graded stakes winner Bay to Bay.
