Run Away and Hide's Mico Margarita collared Star Harbor in the final furlong to go on to a length and a half victory in the $100,000 Robert Byrd Memorial Saturday afternoon at Mountaineer Park (VIDEO).

The win was the second stakes victory of the year for the 4-year-old colt who set a six furlong track record at Evangeline Downs in the Oak Hall S. this April. He also took the 2013 Carry Back S. (G3). With a mark of 5-3-5 in 19 starts, Mico Margarita has now earned $390,251.

Mico Margarita is owned by Kirk and Judy Robinson and trained by Steve Asmussen. The Robinsons picked their stable star out of the 2011 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Yearling sale, going to $25,000 for the first foal out of the mare Wide Range, who is out of the very quick Grade 2 Bonnie Miss S. winner Ivanavinalot.
