Multi-millionaire Magna Graduate sired his first winner with his initial first-crop starter, when two-year-old Blueeyesintherein won her career debut in a $55,977 maiden special weight at Churchill Downs Thursday.

The 2-1 second choice of the Churchill crowd, Blueeyesintherein broke quickly, then tracked the pacesetter three-wide through fractions of :22 1/5 and :45 1/5. The bay miss took charge at the top of the lane and finished full of run, hitting the wire 3 3/4-lengths ahead of the runner-up in the field of nine. Time for the 4 1/2 furlongs was :51 3/5.

Bred in the Kentucky by Elisabeth Alexander, Blueeyesintherein races for Dorothy Self and Barry King, and is trained by Garry Simms. She was sold at Keeneland as a weanling and as a yearling by Darby Dan, Agent.

An eight-time stakes winner of $2,582,816, whose victories include the Clark H. (G2) at Churchill Downs, Magna Graduate (Honor Grades-Peacock Alley, by Fast Play) stands at Darby Dan for $5,000 live foal.
