Advance Degree turned his debut into a one-horse race with a dominating 13 1/4-length score in a maiden special weight contest Sept. 28 at Thistledown. The dark bay colt is the fifth winner by first-year sire Magna Graduate, who is also the sire of Grade 3 Debutante S. winner Blueeyesintherein.

Sent away the 3-5 favorite, Advanced Degree dueled for the first quarter mile, but had little resistance from that point, drawing away from the field with ease.

The winner was bred by her owner Elisabeth Alexander. Out of Unmarked Monkey, Advanced Degree is a half-brother to multiple stakes winners Money Card and Floater.
