Lenstar, a $130,000 Shackleford Keeneland yearling in 2015, rolled to an easy victory in a maiden special weight Sunday at Gulfstream Park. The recently-turned 3-year-old sauntered home a 6 1/4-winner in a quick 1:10.71 for the six furlongs.

Owned by My Meadowview Farm and trained by Nick Zito, Lenstar is out of the stakes-winning mare Cryptos' Best, whose six winners to date include three-time black type winner Well Fashioned and the stakes-placed Cryptos' Holiday.

Shackleford, whose first crop are 3-year-olds of 2017, is the leading cumulative Second-Crop sire of winners with 24 to date. He is standing this year at Darby Dan Farm for a fee of $15,000 stands and nurses.
