RSS Feeds Sunday, July 16, 2017
Uplifting fought off a pair of challengers in the stretch to score a well-deserved allowance victory on July 15 at Laurel Park.

Saturday’s score was the second allowance win in a month for the 3-year-old son of Jersey Town, who only has finished worse than third once in 10 lifetime starts.

Bred in Kentucky by Denali Stud, Uplifting is owned by Ciavardone Stables and is trained by Scott Lake. The dark bay Kentucky-bred has earned $118,610.

Uplifting’s dam, the unraced Bertrando mare Encouragement, is a sister to Santa Monica H. (G1) winner Key Phrase.
