Darby Dan's powerful pair of freshman sires Dialed In and Shackleford both made a huge impact during the 2016 racing season, with Dialed In the least First-Crop sire by earnings and Shackleford finishing the year as the co-leader by freshman winners.

Dialed In's first crop amassed $1,543,136 in earnings, led by Gunnevera winner of the Saratoga Special S. (G2) and $1 million Delta Jackpot (G3). Dialed In's other black type winners included two-time stakes winner Ruffenuff and Ms Locust Point, who took the $100, 000 Gin Talking S. on the final day of the year. Dialed In's 19 winners was just one behind Shackleford.

Shackleford's lengthy winners was topped by Wellabled, a TDN Rising Star who went on to capture the Arlington-Washington Futurity (G3) and $100,000 Dixon Memorial. The first-year stallion was also responsible for the stakes-placed duo of Madrugdor and All Shacked Up.

2017 started off in style for Shackleford when Malagacy scored a maiden special weight victory on Jan. 4 at Gulfstream Park, winning by 15 lengths and becoming the third TDN Rising Star for his sire.

Both Dialed In and Shackleford will stand the 2017 at Darby Dan, with Dialed In and Shackleford both standing for $15,000 live foal stands and nurses.
