Rupp and Tanya’s Gem both scored maiden special weight wins on July 16, upping Dialed In’s individual winners’ total to an impressive 31 on the year. Dialed In ranks in the top 10 on the Second-Crop Sire list by winners, stakes winners, earnings and black-type wins.

Rupp, a 3-year-old colt, romped by 5 ½-lengths in a one-mile, main track affair, covering the distance in 1:37.85 over the “good” surface (see included video). An Arindel Farm homebred, Rupp is out of Youbetshecan, who is a half-sister to Hall of Famer Best Pal.

A little later that afternoon, the 3-year-old filly Tanya’s Gem earned her diploma at Monmouth Park by three-quarters of a length at 5 ½-furlongs on a “good” turf course. Bred in Kentucky by Dixiana Farm, Tanya’s Gem is one of five winners out of Joyce Ann, a half-sister to Halo Cat, a six-time stakes winner of nearly a half-million dollars.
