Chalon rewarded her connections' excellent preparation with a 2 1/4-length maiden special weight score in her debut Thursday at Santa Anita Park, covering the five furlongs in a very sharp :57.26 seconds (VIDEO).

The 2-year-old filly is the second winner from just four starters for first-crop sire Dialed In, who is ranked in the Top 10 on the Freshman Sire list.

Chalon, a $110,000 purchase at this year's Barretts March 2-year-olds in Training Sale by his owner Rockingham Ranch, led virtually the entire trip in Thursday's contest, comfortably holding off 1-5 favorite Unique Bella to secure the win.

Chalon is out of Fall Fantasy and is half-sister to the multiple stakes-placed 5-year-old Blackout.
