Chalon shipped to her Santa Anita Park base for Sunday's $150,000 Jersey Girl S. at Belmont Park and romped home by about six lengths to score her first stakes win in just her fourth lifetime start.

The 3-year-old Dialed In filly is the fifth stakes winner this year for her sire. After being the leading First-Crop Sire of 2016 by earnings, Dialed In leads this year's Second-Crop Sire list by stakes winners and stakes wins.

The Jersey Girl took an odd turn right at the start when the postime favorite Vertical Oak didn't break and was ultimately declared a non-starter. Chalon, conversely, broke very well and was neck and neck with Cajun Delta Dawn for the first three furlongs, when she began to edge away.

Sadie Be Good made a brief challenge for the lead in upper stretch, but Chalon spurted away and was all alone in the final furlong, finishing the six furlongs in 1:10.60.

Chalon is trained by Peter Miller for Rockingham Ranch and is 3-0-0 in four starts and has earned $157,545. She was bred in Kentucky by J. K. & Linda Griggs.
