It's Your Nickel tallied his second consecutive win on Friday in a  one-mile Fair Grounds allowance, the first main track route start for the 3-year-old son of leading First-Crop sire Dialed In.

The dark bay colt, who is a 2017 Triple Crown nominee, was in between horses battling for the lead for most of the trip. He fought to the lead late, only to be passed by Senior Investment, who hit the wire a neck in front, but was disqualified for interference with a foe near the top of the stretch (VIDEO).

With the win, It's Your Nickel is now two-for-three with earnings of $81,940. The versatile colt broke his maiden on the Saratoga turf last summer. The winner is owned by Harold Lerner LLC, et al.

Bred in Kentucky by Wigmore Farm, It's Your Nickel comes from the same female family as Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) winner Skywalker.
