Taris, the fastest 3-year-old filly in North America and recent runaway winner of Keeneland’s Raven Run S. (G2), has been supplemented to the Fasig-Tipton November sale on Nov. 3 in Lexington, KY where she’ll be offered by Darby Dan Sales.

Taris is fresh off her nine-length romp in the $250,000 Raven Run S. at Keeneland on Oct. 18. She earned a 110 Beyer Speed Figure for the performance, marking the highest Beyer recorded by any filly or mare in North America in 2014.

“Taris showed in the Raven Run just how special of a filly she is with that awesome 110 Beyer performance, and she’s the product of a rich Claiborne female family that includes War Front,” said Carl McEntee, Darby Dan Sales & Bloodstock Director. “She’s the total package, and one of the most unique turn-key opportunities you’ll see being offered this fall.”

Trained by Todd Beattie for Commonwealth New Era Racing, Taris began her career last year at two with an impressive 11 ¾-length debut Maiden Special Weight win at Aqueduct. In 2014, she’s undefeated and untested around one turn. Taris won the Wide Country S. at Laurel by 5 ½ lengths in a hand ride, before scoring a 7 ¾-length romp at Presque Isle Down last month where she zipped six furlongs in 1:08.39 and earned a 102 Beyer. Her average margin of victory is 8 ½ lengths.

Taris has earned $275,700 to date with her near-perfect record. By one of A.P. Indy’s top sons, Flatter, she hails from the Theatrical (Ire) mare Comedy, and her second dam is the graded stakes-winning Lord At War (Arg) mare Don’t Be Silly. Bred by Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider, Taris’s family goes back to leading sire War Front.

For more information about Taris, contact Carl McEntee at (859) 254-0424. Taris will be available for inspection next weekend on the Fasig-Tipton sales grounds at Barn 8.
