Demarcation put in a determined stretch run to win a thrilling running of the $125,000 Mineshaft H. at Fair Grounds on Feb. 19. Last for most of the 1 1/16 mile trip, the bay veteran commenced a strong rally in the stretch, dueling furiously with favorite Mission Impazible in the final furlong, ultimately prevailing by a head.

Darby Dan sold Demarcation as a yearling in the 2005 Keeneland September sale for $100,000 to Amerman Racing, who still campaigns the 7-year-old. The seasoned campaigner has won five stakes in his career, including the 2008 River City H. (G3) and Ack Ack H.(G3), both at Churchill Downs. His lifetime record now stands at 10-5-8 from 37 starts, with earnings of $625,050.

Demarcation was bred in Kentucky by Canard Investments LLC.
