Perfect Soul's daughter Blessed Soul made short work of the field in the 1 1/16 mile feature at Pimlico April 22, drawing off to win by 6 ½ lengths in the third level allowance on the fast main track.

Blessed Soul came from about a half-dozen length back to sweep by the field three-wide to clear off easily in the stretch. She covered the distance in 1:46.31.

The 5-year-old mare has been incredibly consistent throughout her career. She's only been worse than third once in 12 starts, and that was in her debut. Her record now stands at 5-4-1 with earnings of $104,210 for her owner Heil Racing Stables. She was second in the Maryland Racing Media S. on Feb. 11.

Blessed Soul is the first foal out of Yankee Tradition, who won the Schenectady H. She was bred in Kentucky by James Ventura et al.

Perfect Soul has enjoyed and excellent week; besides Blessed Soul, he has had four other winners in the past six days, including two at Keeneland.
