Dialed In, whose first crop are yearlings of 2015, had five lots go through the ring at the July Fasig-Tipton Yearling sale, with all five selling, led by a $270,000 colt, with an average sale price of $134,500, nearly 18x his stud fee of $7,500.

Buyers included the likes of Zayat Stables, who bought the $270,000 colt, Cheyenne Stables, Ken McPeek and Murray Smith. The $270,000 figure was the highest price paid at the sale for a first-crop yearling.

Dialed In’s top colt, hip No. 54, is out of the stakes-winning mare Magic Smoke. The colt is a half-brother to a pair of winners. Cheyenne Stables went to $170,000 for hip No. 241, the first filly out of the Giant’s Causeway mare Billboard Hit.  McPeek secured hip No. 246 for $100,000. The dark bay or brown colt is a half-brother to the Grade 1-placed filly Valiant Passion, from the same family as Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) winner Skywalker.

Dialed In’s next yearlings scheduled to sale are at the Aug. 15 Barretts Select Yearlings sale in California and the Aug. 15-16 Saratoga New York Bred Preferred Yearlings sale.
