Dialed In, who got his first graded stakes winner as a sire earlier in the day in the Saratoga Special (G2), hit another high-water mark later Sunday evening when a yearling colt sold for $260,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga New York-bred Preferred Yearlings sale.

The winning bid represented the top price paid in 2016 for an offspring of the Darby Dan stallion, who currently ranks first on the 2016 Freshman Sire list following Gunnevera's dramatic victory in the Saratoga Special.

The $260,000 colt, hip No. 447, was consigned by Preferred Equine and purchased by Saratoga Seven Racing Partners. The chestnut yearling is the first foal out of May Who, whose siblings include three black type winners.
