A colt by leading Second-Crop sire Shackleford brought a winning bid of $220,000 during the final session of the March 14-15 OBS Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training.

King's Equine was the consignor of hip No. 339, which went to Hideyuki Mori. The colt's dam is the stakes winner Annie's Apple, who also produced Grade 3-placed K. D.'s Shady Lady, who in turn is the dam of Clement L. Hirsch S. (G1) winner Lady of Fifty.

Shackleford has already tallied 14 winners in 2017, second-most for any Second-crop Sire. He is standing this year at Darby Dan for $15,000 stands and nurses.
